| | Model | - | | | What things have gone wrong with the car? | the drive door is a little nose but then it had a small accident and the door has to be fixed. | | | General comments? | I got mine used with 130km on it just a few weeks ago. It drives like brand new. It sits tall on the road. My 84 years old mom loves it, easy to get in and out, even at the back.
Feels like drive a truck. Driving is easy on it. There isn't anything blocking you when checking blind spots and backing. It is very responsive with good brake.
The engine is fairly quiet. I changed its original a/c and generator belts for $100 with my mechanic, much cheaper than my SL1. I got 450Km out of 25 liters of regular mixed HW and city driving in Toronto. Good mileage.
I loved speedometer in the middle once i got used to it.
My mechanic said, i cam expect this thing to least at least 4 to 5 years without major problems. He seldom see this model in his shop (which is good).
So long for GM ... too bad, i wish they had made better cars. | | | Engine and transmission | auto | | | Performance | That is fine. it is not a Porsche | | | Reliability | Good | | | Comfort | very | | | Running costs (higher is cheaper) | cheaper | | | Distance when acquired | 130km | | | Previous car | Saturn SL1 (2001) | | | First year of ownership | Pontiac, Tempest (1987) |
